Niki Lambros, MA (Cambridge, UK), is a writer, critic and ex-theologian, recently settled in Canada after almost two decades in Europe, Asia, and the United States. She joined Le Panoptique in January 2008 as Editor of the History Section, and contributes articles to various publications in Canada and on the Web.

Understanding what’s going on in the world requires as complete a knowledge of both world history and current events as education, experience, global media, and the Internet can provide and synthecise, along with a large amount of skepticism as to the veracity and accuracy of what is reported. Each week I’ll bring this perspective to bear on a top news story, analyzing the motives and observing the effects of politics on society.
